With a town whose history extends more than 110 years, the Gooding Chamber of Commerce has supported community businesses for many years, and has come a long way.
The Chamber continues to bring beneficial networking and connecting opportunities to the community.
Witnessing the growth and expansion of Gooding over the years has given the Chamber more motivation to stay ahead of the curve and offer effective, current events and programs throughout the years.

Gooding is the county seat and largest city of Gooding County, Idaho, United States.
The population was 3,567 at the 2010 census.
The city is named for Frank R. Gooding, a local sheep rancher who became a prominent political figure in Idaho in the early 20th century, serving as both Governor of Idaho and a United States Senator. The original name of Gooding was Toponis.
Gooding is home to the Idaho School for the Deaf and the Blind.
The world’s largest factory for barrel cheese, the raw product for processed cheese, is located in Gooding. It has a capacity of 120,000 metric tons per year of barrel cheese and belongs to the Glanbia group.[5] Gooding is also home to Gooding High School and Gooding Middle School.

Gooding Fire District
Our fire district covers 151 sq. miles, including the city of Gooding, serving approximately 7000 family members. Along with structural protection it provides wild land, hazmat, EMS, and public education services. The Gooding Fire District is covered 24/7 with highly trained personnel: a paid Fire Chief, one paid Firefighter, seven on-call Officers, and several paid on-call Firefighters. It also has mutual aid agreements with all the fire departments in the county and several others in surrounding counties. As a tax-based fire department…as our city and county grows we are able to do so as well.

Getting Started
The idea behind Helping Hearts and Hands was to be a resource where the people of Gooding County could receive the help of the community and the community would be there to help when needed That is where our motto “people helping people” came from. Christ calls us to love and care for each other.
Growing
As the years passed we have grown, finding new ways to help members of our community. The extra programs and increased workload would not have been possible to attempt without the help of generous individuals who give time, money, and services to help us reach more people every year.
In 2019, we distributed 1871 monthly food boxes to families experiencing food shortages. During the 2019 Christmas week alone, 213 families received special boxes (besides being able to get their regular monthly box) so they could enjoy the holiday as so many of us do.
